Prolife Radio Street Team
Pro-Life Radio: A pre-recorded program paid for by Pro-Life Radio, preserving the sanctity of life in Florida—a loud voice for the unborn. This is Pro-Life Radio with your hosts, Vicki and Bruce Cherry.
Bruce Cherry: Welcome to another edition of Pro-Life Radio. We have a crowded studio today! My lovely wife, Vicki Cherry, is across from me, and we have the cream of the crop of pro-life guests. We have Michelle Herzog, director of Pro-Life Action Ministries here in Central Florida. Welcome, Michelle!
Michelle Herzog: Hello!
Bruce Cherry: We also have Larry Brumbach, a retired Air Force veteran who is a member of our pro-life team. Welcome, Larry!
Larry Brumbach: Hello, thank you so much for inviting me.
Bruce Cherry: Chances are you’ve met Larry at some event around town with his bag of goodies, sharing truth, light, and information about how to protect the unborn. We are blessed to have Larry in the studio. Also joining us is Kathy McGinnis, a former Army officer, nurse veteran, retired nurse, wife, mother, grandmother, and member of our pro-life team. And we have a guest we just met today, Monica Sutera—though you may recognize her pen name, Monica Duros. She is an author, a mom, and has an almost-abortion story to share with us today.
Monica Sutera: Thank you, Bruce, for having me.
Bruce Cherry: Thank you for being here! Let me share with the audience what’s going on. Normally you hear us on Sunday night, but this show is pre-recorded on a Saturday afternoon because we spent this morning at the abortuary in Maitland here in Central Florida—in Altamonte Springs—called All Women’s Health. Abortion is not health care; there is no health care involved in that. We spent the morning out there, and Monica was one of the folks we were blessed to spend time with. We prayed, we talked to folks, we counseled, and we tried to reach people. We even sang. Monica is a great singer and is on a praise and worship team at Northland Church.
God actually woke her up at 2:00 AM last night and said, “Monica, I want you to get down to the abortion clinic and join those people.”
Monica Sutera: Yes!
Bruce Cherry: She was the first person I met when I got there this morning. Let’s jump right in. We start everything off with Jeremiah 1:5 and prayer: “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.”
Heavenly Father, we come to you once again and ask for your blessing upon this show, upon all the folks in the studio with us, upon our producer, and most importantly, upon those who hear this show. We ask you to bless them with discernment over what we are going to share. As we share truth, give us the words to say, and let us be about protecting the unborn. We know, but we want others to know, just how precious the gift of life is that you give us, and how not one of us as mere mortals has a right to disqualify a life that you have ordained to be, regardless of the circumstances. If it is rape and a child is the result of it, let it be a blessing, because all children are blessings, and let the sins of the father not be visited upon the child. God, we thank you for this mission. We thank you for your guidance. We ask for your blessing today and always. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
What an interesting day today. We had quite a few people driving by blowing their horns—some good, some bad. We had quite a few people waving and using all the fingers. Yes! And I love the one sign that was there today: “Honk for Life.” So those bad honks were actually honking for life, whether they knew it or not. The thing that gets to me is I feel bad for those who drove by and felt it was their purpose in life to yell obscenities at us and give us the one-finger salute. It’s like, really? You have nothing better going on in your life than to harass us? Whether you’re pro-choice or pro-life, that’s how you spend your Saturday.
Michelle Herzog: Well, most of them—a high percentage of the women—have had abortions and haven’t dealt with it yet, or they are men who have brought many women to have abortions and never repented. So there’s a lot of anger there.
Bruce Cherry: You know, Michelle, the thing that I noticed, though, is most of the positive response we get is from men. A lot of men dropping by, giving thumbs up, blowing their horns. And you can tell the difference in the horn blows.
Michelle Herzog: Yeah, you can. Like you said, that anger comes from somewhere, and it’s usually a place of hurt and guilt.
Bruce Cherry: I’d like to thank Larry. Larry was out there with his table of various items, including the abortion pill reversal pamphlet. Kathy did a great job taking a handful, standing on the other side of the driveway, and making sure women received them. Thank you both for being out there today.
Larry Brumbach: Well, you’re quite welcome. I do enjoy putting pro-life literature out for people. That brochure we handed out was extremely important because it showed a woman who had taken an abortion pill how she could reverse it without getting an abortion. The abortion pill reversal does work. In the past, we’ve had a woman on the show—she was the third person to try the abortion pill reversal way back when, and it worked. Now her child is… what, a teenager?
Bruce Cherry: Almost! 13 going on 19—or 13 going on 30, as they say. Those of us who have kids know what that’s like! Kathy didn’t let a car get out of that driveway without at least seeing her and knowing she had the pamphlets. There were some who wouldn’t roll their windows down. And brave Michelle out there—didn’t an abortion doctor almost run you over one day? What is the doctor’s name?
Michelle Herzog: Sure, Corey Brill. So everybody, please pray for that woman. She needs a lot of prayer, and nothing is impossible with God. We have seen abortionists repent and become great spokespersons for the unborn. We had Dr. Hayward, who recently went to be with the Lord. He had been an abortion doctor, and he was on our show. He spoke at the Pro-Life Action Ministries gala two years ago. Great guy, and just so sad that he passed away recently. But the blessing is that he came to know the Lord before that happened, and he was forgiven. He was sharing truth with anyone who would hear it, and we were blessed to have known him.
Bruce Cherry: It’s got to be such a heavy thing to be a learned man, a healer, and to be the one who caused so much death throughout his life. I have no idea how many babies he killed.
Michelle Herzog: I don’t think he knew. It seemed like he told a story where he’d kind of lost count. But the one that stuck with him was the one where he decided he couldn’t do it anymore. The baby kind of pulled away from him when he was trying to do a late-term abortion, and that’s when he realized, “Okay, that’s it.” Because they can feel it. Then you have others—well, think of Bernard Nathanson. He is really the doctor the pro-abortion movement used to help pave the way to decriminalize it in 1973. It was through Bernard Nathanson actually seeing the baby that he wrote a book called The Silent Scream and made a movie of the same name. If anybody has never seen The Silent Scream…
Bruce Cherry: I’ve heard the title of the book, but I have not read it, and I don’t know that I could watch the movie. But after he quit the abortion industry, he became a very, very big spokesperson, and God used him in a tremendous way. His name again is?
Michelle Herzog: Bernard Nathanson. God likes to take guys like Paul of the Bible.
Bruce Cherry: Yes, like Paul! For those who can watch The Silent Scream, please do, because the only way we’re going to get abortion out of our land is for people to understand exactly what it is. We’ve been misled, we’ve been lied to. We’ve been told, “Oh, it’s a clump of cells,” “The baby can’t feel pain,” “It’s part of the woman’s body, it’s her choice.” None of that is correct. Anybody who has ever seen an ultrasound knows that babies can feel, they can hear, they can see, they can sense.
It’s time for a break! Let me check the clock… Oh, I didn’t realize that much time had already gone by. This is Pro-Life Radio, coming to you from the John Barrows Memorial Studio on AM 950 and FM 94.9, The Answer. We’ll be right back with more guests right after this.
(Commercial Break)
Bruce Cherry: Welcome back to Pro-Life Radio on a Sunday evening—though pre-recorded on a Saturday afternoon! We were out at the abortuary earlier this morning at the All Women’s Health Center in Maitland/Altamonte. Of course, we know it is not a health center; the whole sign is a lie. But we were out praying, waving signs, singing, and ministering to those who will listen.
I want to touch on Idaho. Idaho is a state that had a rock-solid abortion ban, but they need serious prayer because someone is currently challenging that ban. On November 3rd, voters will go to the polls to see if they can amend the ban. Recently, someone filed to have the ban lifted until the election, but a judge ruled this week that the ban can stay in place. It’s a ban from conception on—no abortion in Idaho. That’s the kind of ban Florida needs. Prayer warriors, get to it; Idaho needs strong prayer to keep that in place, and all states should strive to be like Idaho.
In the studio with us tonight, we have guest Michelle Herzog, director of Pro-Life Action Ministries; Larry Brumbach and Kathy McGinnis from our pro-life radio team; and Monica Sutera, an author and pro-life warrior. Monica, tell us quickly about the books you wrote.
Monica Sutera: I wrote The Prudent Student and The Smell of Success (SOS). The Prudent Student takes you on the journey of how I wrote The Smell of Success, which is a book on how you can memorize information and recall it during exams so you can get an A.
Bruce Cherry: And it works, because she already knew everybody’s name down at the abortuary this morning! I’m like, if she can remember everyone’s name, that’s how well the book works. Is it available on Amazon and Kindle?
Monica Sutera: Yes, it is on Amazon and Kindle.
Bruce Cherry: Those of you in school, get the book! Those of you who have students, get the book! Or if you just want to remember things better, like I do. Amen, I should get the book and get rid of my smartphone. You know, it’s true, we don’t remember phone numbers like we used to. I can tell you the phone number of the house I grew up in, my aunt’s house, and my best friend’s house from when I was a kid in Louisville, Kentucky, but I couldn’t tell you my wife’s phone number off the top of my head! I’d have to think about it and usually get the last four numbers mixed up. We’ve forgotten our ability to remember things because of convenience.
Meanwhile, there are places in the country really pushing the pro-choice agenda and fighting hard to murder our children. Michelle, you had some information this morning about Massachusetts and New Jersey?
Michelle Herzog: Well, first of all, I want to talk about what happened in Massachusetts. I’m sure all of us sitting around this table were aghast when we saw women cheering and clapping as the governor signed into law abortions up to birth. Disparaging life… you know, Monica, when you think about it, we have to go back and remember this is a spiritual battle. This is modern-day child sacrifice. Their blood cries out, and we know the enemy survives off the blood of these children. This is nothing new under the sun.
For someone like me who for 10 years ministered in Wichita, Kansas, in front of an abortion center that killed babies up to birth—literally seeing women coming in full term and having their abortions, and then George Tiller’s smokestack with the adult-sized crematorium spewing out the ashes and little pieces of those babies—this is personal to me. Wichita was known as the abortion capital of the world. After George Tiller was killed by a madman who shot him in church, that building sat empty for four years. Money was even raised to tear it down and turn that plot of land into a safe place and a memorial for all the children that died there. But nothing was ever done. And so what happened? They opened it back up.
Now, because surrounding states have bans somewhat like ours, a lot of people are going to Kansas. Wichita has become an abortion tourism destination, just like Minnesota—where our national office is—where abortion is legal up to birth. Here in Florida we have our six-week ban, but we’ve got women traveling to North Carolina, Virginia, and New York. As a matter of fact, at All Women’s Health Center this morning, we spoke to a woman who went for an abortion about a month ago. It turned out she was five months pregnant. They didn’t do the abortion there, but they gave her a paper with instructions on how to get her late-term abortion at their two centers up in New York.
The sad part is that the official numbers for abortions taking place in Florida are inaccurate, because many women are traveling to other states or using the abortion pill at home in the privacy of their own bathroom, dorm room, or bedroom. Politicians would have you believe, “Hey, we’re pro-life, we’ve shut down abortion centers.” Well, until you stop the flow of this poison into our state, and until you make it illegal to travel outside our state to kill your baby, you can’t say that.
Bruce Cherry: I don’t know that you can make traveling illegal, because then you’re looking at something close to socialism or communism when you tell people they can’t leave the state for something. What we’ve got to do is wipe this blight from our land—meaning our borders, the United States of America. We have to end abortion.
Michelle Herzog: When you talk about up to birth, my mind goes right to those babies right after birth. Five minutes before, they could have killed that baby, yet those little toes and little fingers are completely viable. It’s so horrible. There’s a reason why babies cry when they’re born: for the first time they feel gravity, they’re cold because they’ve been used to the warmth of the mother’s womb, it’s loud because everything was muffled in a sealed environment, and it’s bright. Those are all stimuli that tell you that baby can feel everything, and has been able to for months. The thought of them killing a baby after it’s born, or up till birth, is unconscionable and demonic.
You always hear, “Oh, late-term abortions are for extreme deformities.” But in Kansas, numerous times… I think of one girl who had a late-term abortion because she wanted to compete in a barrel racing competition! People don’t even realize these are crimes against humanity. These are human beings created in the image of God. It’s just pure, simple, bloodthirsty crimes against humanity.
Bruce Cherry: Now, you were saying that lady wanted an abortion to be in a barrel racing competition. Monica has a personal story she’s going to share with us when we come back, and we also want to touch on what’s going on in New Jersey. We’ll be right back with more Pro-Life Radio streaming on TheAnswerOrlando.com, on AM 950 and FM 94.9, The Answer.

Bruce Cherry: Welcome back to Pro-Life Radio, pre-recorded on a Saturday afternoon. We were out at the abortion clinic earlier this morning, and we have a studio full of guests. Vicki Cherry and I are here with Michelle Herzog, Kathy McGinnis, Larry Brumbach, and our guest Monica Sutera.
Michelle was talking about a lady who wanted a late-term abortion to compete in a rodeo barrel race. Monica has a story that’s somewhat similar, though you weren’t looking to have an abortion yourself—you were being advised to have one. Tell us about that, Monica.
Monica Sutera: I became pregnant at a young age when I was engaged to my husband—my ex-husband now. I was advised by family members and peers to have an abortion because I had already bought my wedding dress and wouldn’t be able to fit into it by the date of my wedding. It was very difficult for me. I did not want to have an abortion. I went against everyone and kept my baby. Because of that, I ended up losing my job; my employers told me that I could no longer do my job if I was pregnant. I ended up suing the medical center that fired me, and we settled out of court. It’s just amazing how many people were trying to end my daughter’s life. She is now 15, thank God, and she is beautiful and loves Jesus. I also have an eight-year-old son, and I just can’t imagine anyone doing something like this to their child.
Bruce Cherry: The advice was literally that your wedding dress wouldn’t fit, so you should have an abortion! That blows my mind, but it’s so common. And you were able to get your wedding dress exchanged?
Monica Sutera: I did! And I was even told I couldn’t wear a veil because I was eight months pregnant at the time of my wedding. But I didn’t care what anybody said. I went with my heart and the teachings from church, and I had my beautiful daughter at Mercy Hospital in Miami. Once my baby was born, everybody was on board, everybody loved her, and there wasn’t any discussion about abortion after that. So it was purely a convenience thing.
Bruce Cherry: Sadly, so often abortion is about convenience. I’ve shared this numerous times on this show: I had actively participated in the abortion of two of my own children at one point in my life. The first time was because I was very involved in my career as a radio broadcaster in this town, I was well known, and I thought it just wasn’t the right time. My then-friend—who became my wife eventually, my first wife—didn’t want to have the baby, and I didn’t fight to keep the baby because it was a matter of convenience for me. I’ve prayed for forgiveness, God has given it, and that’s why we do what we do.
It is murder to take a life out of convenience, out of financial gain, out of anger. The Bible tells us it’s wrong, and it is considered murder. Then you have these apostate pastors out there saying that it’s not wrong, that Jesus would be helping women get into the clinic to abort their babies. I wouldn’t want to be them, because they’re going to have to answer for that one day.
Let’s talk about New Jersey. Governor Sherrill is rabidly pro-abortion—the leader of your state is just all about killing children. How can you even trust a leader like that? She is trying to enact S2260, which basically shields abortionists from any type of investigation, annual health inspections, or accountability whatsoever. That goes against the very safety and sanitation arguments they used to decriminalize abortion in 1973 under the guise of making it “safe, legal, and rare.” It has never been safe.
Anybody listening within the sound of my voice in the state of Florida: this is what we avoided by defeating Amendment Four! Because if we had passed Amendment Four, you wouldn’t have any kind of health code for abortion clinics, there would be unlimited abortion on demand, and parents of teenagers wouldn’t receive notification if their son or daughter was involved in an abortion. Basically, Amendment Four was what New Jersey is trying to enact without a public vote.
Also in that New Jersey bill is the erection of buffer zones. We used to have buffer zones here in Florida in the 90s where you could be arrested for standing within a certain footage of an abortion center, but people fought it and they were overturned. We have no buffer zones here in Florida anymore. They just defeated a buffer zone in Minnesota that had been around for almost 30 years. However, I believe the precedent from the McCullen v. Coakley Supreme Court case in 2014 proved that buffer zones are unconstitutional. If this New Jersey law is enacted, people are going to have to test the waters. Larry, how would you feel about getting arrested?
Larry Brumbach: That’s what’s going to happen in New Jersey. I may avoid New Jersey for that reason!
Bruce Cherry: It’s all billed as “reproductive health care,” but you can’t violate anyone’s rights as they go in to kill their children. That’s what’s happening, and I think we’re going to see a whole lot more as the election draws near.
